CONCERT UPDATE: The Seven Wonders, Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band, to Perform at The Great New York State Fair on Wednesday
The rumors are true: The Great New York State Fair will welcome The Seven Wonders, a Rochester-based band, to Chevy Court this week. The Fleetwood Mac tribute band will take the Chevy Court Stage at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30. The Seven Wonders are replacing fellow Rochester native and R&B singer, Danielle Ponder, who had to cancel two weeks of performances due to unforeseen circumstances including her performance at The Fair.
The Seven Wonders is made up of seven world-class musicians with a shared goal to pay homage to the music of Fleetwood Mac. Musicians Teagan Ward, Matthew Stephens, Katy Eberts, Jon Sheffer, Matt Ramerman, Kyle Vock, and Taylor Lee Smith deliver powerful renditions of Fleetwood Mac’s timeless, beloved tracks including “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” and more. Since forming in 2017, The Seven Wonders has garnered national attention for their high-energy performances and ability to reconnect fans with music they love.
The Seven Wonders’ performance at The Fair coincides with The Fair’s celebration of Women’s Day. Chapel Hart will perform at 6:00 p.m. at Chevy Court, followed by Ann Wilson of Heart and Tripsitter to close out the day at 8:00 p.m. at Suburban Park. Like all performances in the Chevrolet Music Series, the performance is included in the price of Fair admission. Admission tickets and parking are on sale now at The Fair’s website.
“We’re so grateful to have The Seven Wonders join our musical line-up, especially with such short notice,” said Fair Director Sean Hennessey. “The music of Fleetwood Mac is beloved among many and their hits are relatable too. These are anthems about love and heartbreak, and cover such themes as personal empowerment and perseverance through hardship. While we wish Danielle Ponder the best and will miss having her here, The Seven Wonders are a great addition to our Women’s Day line-up.”
The State Fair concert will be the second show The Seven Wonders has performed in Syracuse this month. Just last week they played at Middle Ages Brewing Company – a rescheduled performance from July after a car accident on The Thruway. Band member Katy Eberts was injured, but is recovering. Mel Muscarella is filling in for her in the interim.
The full Chevrolet Music Schedule is posted at The Fair’s website at pages dedicated to Suburban Park and Chevy Court. The Fair continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 4.
